Sepeda, Jose Sanchez

Jos? Sepeda, 78, of Hale Center, passed away on August 10, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.

Jos? was born on June 1, 1939 in Pharr, Texas to Domingo and Refujia (Sanchez) Sepeda. He was a hardworking man from a very early age. He attended a Technical School in Omaha and was always enthusiastic about learning! He married Aurora Baca in 1957. They enjoyed 58 amazing years of life together until her passing in February 2016. In May of this year, he married Alma Teresita Soto Vega.

He is remembered as a kind, compassionate man. He always wanted his family around him. He is remembered as someone who was always ready to lend a hand. His children remember countless times that he taught them about compassion by taking in and feeding family and strangers alike. He had a sharp sense of humor. Jos? gave everyone he loved a nickname. They will always remember those nicknames and his thoughtful assignment of each one. He loved to draw and paint. His artwork included several pieces at local churches. Jos? was such a loving person. His family will always keep him close at heart. ?Daddy?s Girls? will miss him so much and cherish him forever.

Jos? was preceded in death by his first wife, Aurora Sepeda; one son, David Sepeda and three brothers, Adan Sepeda, Ray Sepeda and Raul Sepeda.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Alma Teresita Soto Vega de Sepeda of Naco, Sonora Mexico; three daughters, Barbara McDonald and husband Kevin of Omaha, NE; Rosalie Perez of Cotton Center and Cookie Sepeda and Albert Castillo of Hale Center. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 3 brothers, Alfredo Sepeda, Domingo Sepeda and Jes?s Sepeda and 3 sisters, Martina Aparicio, Maria Ordones and Angelita Flores and stepchildren, Luis Orlando Vargas Soto and Margarita Vargas Soto.
