Bob Castleberry, 82, of Plainview passed away on Sunday, Aug. 13, 2017 in Lubbock. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 18, 2017, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.

A rosary was held at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel on Thursday, Aug. 17, 2017 at 6 p.m.

Bob was born on Jan. 28, 1935, in Plainview, Texas to Carroll and Leona Castleberry. He grew up and attended schools in the Bellvue Community and graduated from Plainview High School. He then attended and graduated from Texas Tech University. Bob served in the U.S. Air Force Reserves for several years. He farmed in the area for many years and continued to farm while working as a stock broker. He was a member of the Vestry of St. Mark's Episcopal Church and a youth leader. He was also former member of St. Alice Catholic Church and served with the youth as well. He was a current member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, and served as a Republican Precinct chairman. He was also a member of the Plainview Breakfast Investment Club.

Bob married Lou Ann Russell on June 29, 1957. Ann preceded him in death on July 4, 2014. Bob was also preceded in death by his parents and two children, Stephen Castleberry and Mary Drucilla Castleberry. Bob married Manda Alcozer on July 11, 2017, in Lubbock.

Survivors include his wife Manda Alcozer Castleberry of Plainview; daughter, Susan Castleberry Feasel and husband Robert of Bedford; two stepsons, Eli Miguel Gonzales of Lubbock, Manuel Lee Gonzales of Denton; one stepdaughter, Adri Nichole Gonzales of Plainview; four grandchildren, Thomas Alexander Peoples of Denton, John Russell Peoples of Lubbock, Anna Mariam Peoples of Denton, Elizabeth Marie Feasel of Bedford; one sister, Ann Castleberry Stair and husband Charles of Plainview; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family suggests memorials to Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
