Bowman, Avery Daniel (Danny)

Avery Daniel (Danny) Bowman, 75, of Plainview passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2017. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, 2017, at First United Methodist Church in Lockney with Kyle Brock of Grace United Methodist Church in Plainview officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview, Texas.

Danny Bowman was born on June 14, 1942, in Lockney, Texas, to Harley Daniel and Helen Lavonia Hardage Wilson Bowman. He graduated from Lubbock High School in 1960 and attended Texas Tech University. He married Bobbie Jo Barclay on Nov. 3, 1996, in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was a builder for 55 years and a partner in McDonald Construction. He was also a past member of Elks Lodge.

He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Joe Bowman of Plainview; one daughter, Angie Lee and her husband, Brent of Lubbock; one son Brad Bowman and his wife, Jonna of Sweetwater, Texas; a brother Bob Hardage and his wife Barbara of Flower Mound, Texas; a stepdaughter, Tracie Lewis and her husband Roy of Charleston, S.C.; a stepson, David Painter and his wife Michelle of Plainview; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
