Day, Ivan, Mrs. (Claretta)

No funeral services will be held for Claretta Day, 95. Cremation arrangements are by Lemons Funeral Home.

Mrs. Day died at 7:40 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, 2000, in Covenant Hospital.

She was born Oct. 25, 1905, in Ontario, Canada. She grew up in Raleigh Charing Cross Ontario, Canada. She attended the Ford Hospital School of Nursing in Detroit, Mich., in 1926 and was a lifelong nurse in the Hale County area.

Her husband, Dr. Ivan Day, is deceased.

Survivors include two cousins, Donna Curran of Palos Verdes Estates, Calif., and Russell Jener of London, Ontario, Canada; and special friend, Pat Spencer of Plainview.
