Wilson, L.G., Mrs. (Elaine Halbert)

Elaine Wilson, 87, of Plainview, formerly of Tulia, passed away on Monday, July 10, 2017. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 12, 2017, in Plainview Memorial Park with Mr. Oscar Chavez, chaplain of Area Community Hospice officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview, Texas.

Mrs. Wilson was born Oct. 9, 1929, to J.W. and Ozie Halbert in Dunn, Texas. She grew up and graduated high school from Sweetwater, Texas, and attended Abilene Christian University where she met L.G. Wilson. They were married on June 16, 1949. She was a devoted and proud coach's wife for over 40 years. He preceded her in death on June 29, 2001.

She is survived by one daughter, DeAun Criswell and husband David of Plainview; one son, Stan Wilson and wife Angela of Sante Fe, N.M.; five grandchildren, Taryn Minter and husband Chad, Todd Criswell and wife Ashley, Ty Criswell and wife Chelsea, Marisa Wilson and Kadyn Wilson; three great-grandchildren, Delaney Minter, Ainsley Minter and Hollis Criswell.

The family would like to give a special "Thank You" to staff of Santa Fe Place and Area Community Hospice for their special care.
