Galaviz, Luciano,Sr.

Abernathy ? Funeral Mass for Luciano Galaviz Sr., 95, of Abernathy, were at 10 a.m. Saturday in Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Lubbock with burial in Abernathy Cemetery.

Mr. Galaviz died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 1999, in Covenant Medical Center-Lakeside in Lubbock.

He was born Dec. 13, 1903, in Nuevo Leon, Mexico and was a construction worker for Redi-Built Homes.

Surviving are his wife; Ramona M. Galaviz; four sons, Ramon, Rolando and Chano, all of Lubbock, and Armando of Idalou; three daughters, Lola Rojas of Texico, N.M., Micaela Villegas and Maria Nava, both of Abernathy; a brother, Augustine of Lajoya; a sister, Candelaria Longoria of Lajova; 33 grandchildren; 73 great-grandchildren and 30 great-great-grandchildren.

A son, Jessie, and a daughter, Nortencia, are deceased.
