Shook, Howard, Mrs. (Gladys Cookston)

Gladys Shook, 80, passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Mr. Bob DuPont officiating. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview, Texas.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 P.M. on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Gladys was born on December 22, 1936 to Fred & Sylvia Cookston in Valley View, Texas. She married Howard Shook in Mineral Wells, Texas. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Mrs. Shook was preceded in death her parents, one son, Curtis Shook; one brother, Wayne Cookston and two sisters, Laverne Abbott and Dorothy Richardson.

She is survived by her husband, Howard Shook of Plainview; one son, Roger Shook & wife Paula of Borger; one daughter, Kathy Templeton & husband Steve of Plainview; one brother, Bill Cookston of Plainview; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
