She married Eron Gonzales on May 16, 1969, in Plainview where they raised their beautiful family. Eron passed away on Sept. 23, 2000, after 31 years of marriage

Connie worked for many years as a nanny and housekeeper. For 40 years, she worked in the Co-op industry in Plainview as a janitor. Connie was an excellent pianist. She was an active member of Elim Worship Center in Plainview for many years. She was so proud of her brother-in-law and sister, Guadalupe and Rosie Munoz, and of the work they did in the community. Once she moved to Arlington, she became active in "Mission Arlington" which is an organization very deeply involved in mission's work. She was president of the Women's Group and attended "Iglesia de Dios-Un Nuevo Amanecer" Church. Connie enjoyed cooking and the Food Network was her favorite channel. Her daughters speak of her with such love and admiration and she will be deeply missed.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Joaquin and Marie Nava; her husband Eron Gonzales; her daughter, Mary Ann Salazar; two grandchildren; and her sister, Rosie Munoz and brother-in-law, Guadalupe Munoz Sr.

Those left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Elsa Garcia and husband John of Plainview and Cynthia Gonzales of Arlington; one brother, Joaquin Nava Jr. and wife Susie of Lubbock; eight grandchildren, Brittany Gonzales, Rosa Linda Garcia, Yulissa Gonzales; Adrian Salazar and Bryan Salazar; Gerardo Valdez, Andrea Valdez and Juan Andres Valdez and four great-grandchildren, Marilyn Terrazas, Yaneth Terrazas, Eron Garcia and Eden Garcia.
