Baca, Sam, Mrs. (Guadalupe Flores)

Guadalupe F. Baca, 83, of Hale Center passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 21, 2017, at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Hale Center. Burial will follow in Hale Center Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview, Texas.

A Rosary will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 20, 2017 in the Kornerstone Chapel.

Guadalupe was born on Dec. 8, 1933, in Hutto, Texas, to Benjamin and Pola (Torres) Flores. She was a homemaker. Guadalupe was known as Little Grandma. She liked gardening, dancing, and spending time with her grandchildren. She also loved taking care of Sam.

Guadalupe was preceded in death by two sons, Johnny Suarez, Roy Baca; two brothers, Ben Flores, Felix Flores; sister, Maggie Castillea; and a granddaughter, Stephanie Ann April Galvan.

She is survived by her husband Sam Garza of Lockney; three daughters, Gloria Olvera and husband Martin of Hale Center, Dora Villareal and Robert Garcia of Hale Center, Linda Johnson and husband W.H. of Hale Center; three sons, Adam Baca and wife Mary of Lubbock, Susano Baca of Lubbock, Raymundo Baca of Sacramento, California; two sisters, Connie DeLeon and husband Joe of Hale Center, Mary Flores of Lubbock; 27 grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren.
