Allen, Vertis O.

Funeral Services for Vertis O. Allen, 36, of Pueblo, Co., formerly of Plainview, will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Bartley Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Plainview Cemetery under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home of Plainview. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 23, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Vertis passed from this life on June 16, 2017 in Pueblo, Colorado.

Vertis was born on January 24, 1981 in Plainview, Texas to Wanda Allen. He moved to Pueblo, Colorado. While he was there he enrolled in Intellitec College, majoring in Automotive Repair.

Vertis loved to watch boxing videos, working on cars, and playing video games. He was a very outgoing person that knew how to make people laugh. What he loved most of all was spending time with his family and friends.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife and daughter; Sabrina Shuping and Anayshia Allen of Plainview, mother; Wanda Allen of Plainview, Grandmother; Bennie Jennings of Plainview, sisters; Porschia Allen of Plainview, Dawnshae Allen of Plainview, brothers; Steven Starling of Mt. enterprise, Tx., Morris ?Jody? Starling III of Ft. Worth, Tx., Hayden Allen Barnes of Lubbock, and Christian Allen of Wichita Falls, one niece, and five nephews.
