Lockney ? Funeral Services for Dave Sechrist, 87, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Russell Byard, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Moore-Rose-White Funeral Home of Lockney.
Mr. Sechrist died Thursday, Sept. 6, 2001.
He was born May 13, 1914, in Iredell, attended schools in Lubbock and graduated from high school in Lorenzo. He married Alice Marie Sparkman on June 14, 1936, in Lorenzo. She died Sept. 22, 1991.
He moved to Lockney from Lorenzo in 1944. He was owner of Sechrist Radio & TV in Lockney and Sechrist Blacksmith Shop. He also worked as a butcher in a meat market and as a mechanic of Masonic Lodge No. 867 and First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a son, Jim of Mineral Wells; a daughter, Linda Shugart of Lubbock; two sisters, Thelma Caudle and Alma McElroy, both of Lubbock; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a companion, Elzada Lee of Aiken.
A daughter, Margie Green, died May 27, 1998. A grandchild also is deceased.
