Atkinson, Willie

Willie Atkinson, 61, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 12, 2017, in Lubbock, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 16, 2017, at Family Harvest Church with Eric Earhart officiating. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview, Texas.

A visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 15, 2017, at the funeral home.

Mr. Atkinson was born on Aug. 31, 1955, in Elk City, Oklahoma, to Otto and Ruth Atkinson. He married Terri Johnson on Aug. 17, 1985, in Plainview. He was a member of Family Harvest Church.

He is survived by his wife, Terri Atkinson of Plainview; one daughter, Leslie Sutton Jass and husband Justin of Amarillo; two sons, Jeremy Sutton and wife Tonya of Midland and Kenton Atkinson of Midland; one brother, Elbert Atkinson of Sweetwater, Oklahoma; three sisters, Ruby Hutson of Claremore, Oklahoma, Barbara Magness of Lawton, Oklahoma, and Joyce Napier of Edinburgh, Indiana; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
