Askew, Ronnie, Mrs. (Jeanne Hays)

Jeanne Askew, 63, passed away on Monday, Jan. 9, 2017. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, 2017, in Plainview Memorial Park with Kim Hays officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.

Visitation will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Askew was born Dec. 31, 1953, in Plainview, Texas, to Paul and Bettye Jo Hays. She married Ronnie Askew on July 8, 1994. She was a member of South Plains Church of Christ in Lubbock.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband and father of her daughter, Gary Wayne Scott.

She is survived by her husband, Ronnie Askew of Lubbock; one daughter, Melia Selman and husband Ricky of Sherman; four brothers, Kim Hays and wife Donice of Kress, Kelly Hays and wife Delana of Dumas, John Hays and wife Cece of Sunray and Joe Hays and wife Roxi of Lubbock; and two grandchildren, Ashley Selman and Kyndle Selman.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Southwest Cancer Center, 602 Indiana Ave., Lubbock, TX 79415 or her Granddaughters Fund c/o First United Bank, 2011 Texoma Parkway, Sherman, TX 75090.
