Bonnie (Bom-Bom to her family) was born on Feb. 26, 1932, in Caddo Mills, Texas, to Milton Summers and Alta Garvin. She married Bobby Junior Gray on Nov. 21, 1948. She grew up in Childress until she and Bobby moved to Plainview in the early 1950s.They remained married until his passing on Nov. 8, 1984.
Bom-Bom was a loving, kind woman. She worked to serve others, having been employed for years in the Plainview Independent School District School Cafeteria at Highland Elementary. She was also a caregiver of elderly people in their homes. The tenderness that she treated them with always endeared her to them as she became family to them. Bonnie loved her husband and never remarried after his passing. Together, they adopted and raised Ronnie Arnn and loved him as their own. Although her husband passed away in 1984, she continued to remain close to the Gray family and was always involved in their lives as a sister and aunt.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 36 years, her beloved Bobby; adopted son, Ronnie Arnn; one sister, Opal Turner; one brother, John Earl Robinson and several brothers and sisters-in-law.
Those left to cherish her memory are two brothers, Claud Robinson and David Robinson, both of Plainview; brother-in-law, Ronny Gray and wife Norma of Plainview; brother in-law Wayne Gray of Denison; sisters-in-law, Betty Gray, of Plainview, Glenda Gray of Denison and Tete Robinson of Irving. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
