Murphy, Denzel,Jr. (Dee)

Denzel "Dee" Murphy Jr., 48, passed away at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 19, 2016, in Lubbock. He was born Oct. 5, 1968, in Plainview, Texas.

He leaves behind his mother and stepfather, Linda and Billy Savage of Plainview; father and stepmother, Denzel Sr. and Sandra Murphy of Amarillo; one sister, Melinda Mullins and her friend J.R. Jones of Hale Center; one brother Justin of Amarillo; and aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and his step-grandmother, Mildred Savage Myrick of Plainview.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Marvin Cheatheam of Amarillo, Mac and Juanita McElroy of Plainview, C.W. and Faye Murphy of Plainview.

Cremation is planned and no service is scheduled at this time.
