Garcia, Artemio V., Mrs. (Rosie Garcia)

Rosie G. Garcia, 55, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2016. Funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 5, 2016, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Reymundo Manriquez officiating. Interment will follow in Plainview Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.

Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Garcia was born Nov. 18, 1961, to Gumecindo and Mary Garcia in Slaton, Texas. She worked in the deli at United Supermarket. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church where she served as a Guadalupana and taught C.C.E. and RCIA.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary H. Garcia; her grandfather, Ysabel Herrera and one aunt, Alicia Summers.

She is survived by her husband, Artemio V. Garcia of Plainview; one daughter, Clarissa G. Garcia of Plainview; one son Gabriel G. Garcia of Plainview; her father, Gumecindo Garcia of Plainview; five brothers, Chris Garcia, Gume Garcia, David Garcia, Michael Garcia and Robert Garcia all of Plainview; daughter by heart, Amber Lucio of Plainview and grandson by heart, Cidro DeHoyos.
