Avila, Luis Pizano

Luis Pizano Avila, 78, of Plainview passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2016 in Plainview. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at the church of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Interment will follow in the Plainview Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.

A rosary will at 6:00 p.m. November 22, 2016 at the funeral home.

Luis was born on November 9, 1938 in San Nicholas, Michoac?n Mexico to Tiburcio Pizano Corona and Francisca Avila.

Luis lived in Mexico until he came to the U.S. to work in California to harvest oranges. He followed his daughter in 1995 to Plainview, TX. Luis was a hard working man who always put his family first and was always full of love when you would hear him whistling.

Mr. Avila was preceded in death by his wife Maria Concepcion Hernandez, three sons; Benjamin, Tiburcio, and Tiburcio Pizano, and two brothers; Jesus and Hilario Pizano.

He is survived by three daughters; Socorro Pizano and husband Miguel of Plainview, TX, Marta Reyes and husband Rosalio of Plainview, TX, and Maria Luisa Pizano of Plainview, TX; 21 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren.
