Reynolds, Eugene Bert (Gene)

Gene Reynolds, 86, of Olton, died Tuesday, October 25, 2016, in Plainview. Services will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, October 29, 2016, at the First Baptist Church in Olton with Brother David Azam officiating. Interment will follow at Plainview Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors of Olton.

Eugene Bert Reynolds was born August 11, 1930, in Hamlin, Texas. He married Ruby Messimer on April 6, 1950, in Clovis, N.M. Moving to Olton in 1956, Gene was a member of the First Baptist Church. He thoroughly enjoyed working and was a gifted carpenter. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Glenn Reynolds.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby Reynolds of Olton, two sons, Randy Reynolds and wife, Kang Sun of Wichita, Kansas and Lonnie Reynolds of Olton, a daughter, Marti Coleman of Amarillo, and two sisters, Donna Hester of Amarillo and Carol Frost of Dalhart. He was blessed with three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
