Trimble, Wayland Edsel (Scoot), Mrs. (Martha Lois McCarter)

Martha Lois McCarter Trimble went to be with her Lord on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at the Rosewood Care Center in Killeen. Mrs. Trimble was born on May 3, 1926 in Amarillo, TX where she attended school and graduated from Amarillo High School. She married Wayland Edsel (Scoot) Trimble on June 27, 1944 in Clovis, New Mexico.

Graveside service will be held at Plainview City Cemetery on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at 10:00 AM under the direction of Lemons Funeral Home.

Martha was a Charter member of Westminister Presbyterian Church in Amariillo where she was an Elder, taught Sunday school for many years, was Moderator of Presbyterian Woman, and was active in many other areas. She was also a member of Beta Sigma Phi a service organization where she was president of her chapters and received the Order of the Rose award, the honor of fifty years of service. After the family moved to Plainview, she was Secretary/Treasurer of Tillerson-Fish Implement Company as well as a member of First Presbyterian Church in Plainview where she was also an Elder. After her husband passed away Martha moved back to Amarillo where she was Secretary/Treasurer of B & T Ag. Distributing Inc., and Science & Service, Inc.

In May 2007, Martha moved to Killeen to be near her son. She was preceded in death by her husband, her son, Dick Trimble, her parents Charles & Vera Crawford McCarter, and a special cousin Rhealene Exposito. She is survived by her son, Joe Trimble & his wife Jonnie of Harker Heights, her daughter, Mary Martha Magee & her husband Rod of Houston, her daughter-in-law Lynn Trimble of Midland. One sister, Charlene Allred of Albuquerque. Four grandchildren, Jody Trimble Rogers (Monty) of Midland, Traci Donovan (Scott) of Leander, Trent Trimble (Keri) of Rowlett, and Emily Davis (Ted) of Houston. Also, ten great-grandchildren: Ryne, Kelsi, & Kole Rogers of Midland; Devon Eldredge of San Antonio, Brady & Kinsley Donovan of Leander; Hannah, Taylor, & Aaron Trimble of Rowlett, Easton Magee Davis of Houston and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the First Baptist Church Killeen where she was loved & cared for by many of their members:
