Beavers, James

Graveside services for James Beavers, 82 of Lubbock, formerly of Kress will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 23 in Parklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Monty Pettyjohn officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mr. Beavers died Tuesday, September 20, 2016 in Lubbock. He was born September 14, 1934 in Plainview, Texas to Artie and Louise Beavers. James married Mary Hall on November 29, 1952 in Muleshoe, Texas. He was a farmer and a member of Sunset Church of Christ in Lubbock. He loved the Red Raiders and the Dallas Cowboys Football. He is survived by his wife, Mary Beavers of Lubbock; 2 daughters, Kim Beavers Day and Kechi Beavers both of Lubbock, one sister Carolyn Jackson of Littlefield; 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by 1 son, Kelly Beavers; 2 grandsons, Kody James and Kassidy Beavers and 1 brother, Joe Don Beavers.
