Isom ?Picture Man? Murry, Jr., 75, of Plainview passed away on Monday, September 12, 2016 in Plainview, TX. A funeral service will be held at 2 P.M. September 16, 2016 at Emmanuel Church of God in Christ church in Plainview, Texas with Bishop Lawrence R. Windom of Powerhouse Ministries of Life in Killeen, TX and Pastor H.K. New Mount Olive Baptist Church in Littlefield, TX officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview.

Isom was born on August 9, 1941 in Morreland, Texas to Isom, Sr. and Mamie Lee Murry. He lived in Abilene, Texas where he graduated from Woodson High School in 1961. He attended Baylor University where he graduated with his Associate?s Degree in 1962. He returned to Abilene where he worked for Caldwell Music Company for over 25 years. He married Jessie Williams on December 31, 1984 and moved to Plainview shortly after that. He started working for Amigos grocery store in 2006 and worked there for 8 years before retiring.

He is preceded in death by his parents Isom Sr. and Mamie Lee Murry; three sisters, Beatrice Anderson, Johnnie Thomas and Minnie Baxter; one brother, James Murry.

He is survived by his wife Jessie Murry of Plainview; one daughter, Janice Murry of San Angelo; eight sons, Michael Payne of Abilene, Bruce Payne of Abilene, Anthony Carrion of Abilene, Donnie Carrion of Abilene, Keith Roberts of Dallas, Kevin Roberts of Dallas, Marcus Johnson of Amarillo and Ray Mosley of Amarillo; one sister, Margaret Murry of Abilene; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The family would like to show appreciation towards the Brownfield Rehabilitation and Care Center and also to the Plainview Healthcare Center.
