Brown, Lonnie C.

A Private Celebration of Life for Lonnie C. Brown, 73, of Plainview will be held by the family at a later date. The family will have a visitation for family and friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 11 at the Brown residence. Mr. Brown died Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2016, in Amarillo. He was born Aug. 5, 1943, in Plainview, Texas, to J.B. and Cora Wiggley Brown. Lonnie completed and graduated from Business College of the Southwest in court reporting. He was a longtime and well-known musician in the Plainview area and was a veteran of the United States Army. Lonnie is survived by one son, Lonnie Brown Jr. and girlfriend Stacy Hall of Plainview; one daughter, Brandi Brown of Plainview; one sister, Rosalee Anderson of Haslet, Texas. He is preceded in death by both parents and a brother, Buddy Brown. Memorial contributions may be made to disabled Veterans. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home.
