Gomez, Soila

Soila Gomez, 68, of Hale Center, died Monday, August 22, 2016, in Olton. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, August 26, 2016, at El Carpentero Iglesia Bautista in Hale Center with Mr. Demencio Gomez, Jr. officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors of Hale Center.

Soila was born May 25, 1948, in Odem, Texas, to Demencio and Manuela (Dominguez) Gomez. A lifetime Hale Center resident, Soila was a Christian. She loved listening to music and spending time with friends and family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Demencio and Manuela Gomez.

Survivors include five brothers, Baldemar Gomez and his wife, Georgia of Hale Center, Leo Gomez of Spring, Rudolfo Gomez of Hale Center, Demencio Gomez, Jr. and his wife, Delia of Plainview, and Sabino Gomez and his wife, Mary of Plainview, and two sisters, Aurora Cray of Rowlette and Tina Galvan and her husband, Tomas of Lubbock. She was blessed with numerous nieces and nephews.
