Riddle, James G.
James G. Riddle, 83, passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at College Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Jason Smith officiating and Rev. Don Robertson assisting. Funerals services are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. James Riddle was born June 5, 1933, in Nacogdoches, Texas, to James Baxter and Jessie Lee Golden Riddle. He graduated in 1950 from Springlake High School and on Nov. 23, 1950, he married Margaret Parish in Clovis, N.M. He graduated from the School of Pharmacy at Southwestern State College in Weatherford, Okla., in 1954. They later moved to Plainview where he worked as a pharmacist at Robinson-Herring for almost four years before moving to Blair's Pharmacy where he worked for over 20 years. The last 12 years of his career he worked at the K-mart pharmacy before retiring in 1993. He loved to play tennis and was an avid Texas Tech fan where he held season tickets for over 50 years. He was a Sunday school teacher and a deacon at College Heights Baptist Church in Plainview, Texas. His life was his family and he especially enjoyed all the activities of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Jessie Riddle and one son, Randy Riddle. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Riddle of Plainview; three sons, James Lee Riddle and wife Carolyn of Odessa, Rick Riddle and wife Debbie of Plainview and Terry Riddle and wife Kimberley of Odessa; one brother, Charles Riddle and wife Ann of Nashville, Tenn.; daughter-in-law, Poly Riddle of San Angelo; four grandchildren, Ryan Riddle and wife Jennifer; Trent Riddle and wife Meredith; Scott Riddle and wife Rachel; Kristi Powers and husband Ryan; 11 great-grandchildren, Cailyn, Reagan, Brennon, Lincoln, Hogan, Sutton, Reece, Rynn and Laine Riddle, Jonah and Jacob Powers.
