Bradley, Melvin James

Melvin James Bradley, 87, passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 10, 2016, at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Rev. Kyle Brock, pastor of Grace United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. Friday in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel. Mr. Bradley was born April 26, 1929, in Colony Community, Oklahoma, to Bill and Bertha Bradley. He married Joy Walker on Sept. 1, 1951, in Olustee, Oklahoma. Mr. Bradley worked as a farmer for many years. He was a loving husband to his wife Joy Bradley and a wonderful father to his children Connie Seale, Pam Hood and Doug Bradley. Mr. Bradley was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lockney, Texas. He is preceded in death by his son, Doug Bradley; daughter, Brenda Bradley; parents Bill and Bertha Bradley; one brother, Marten Bradley. He is survived by his wife, Joy Bradley of Plainview, Texas; two daughters, Connie Seale and husband Donnie of Amarillo, Texas, and Pam Hood and husband Marty of Plainview, Texas; one brother, Marvin Bradley and wife Frances of Ft. Cobb, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Melissa Murphree and husband David of Plainview, Texas, Heather Irby and husband Ryan of Dallas, Texas, and Brandon Seale and wife Jenna of Lubbock, Texas; and five great-grandchildren, Gracie, Hunter and Daxson Murphree of Plainview, Texas, Caroline Irby of Dallas, Texas, and Carson Seale of Lubbock, Texas.
