Ruby was born Jan. 10, 1934, in Alice, Texas, to Pioquinto and Felicita Trevi?o. She and Oscar Lamb Sr. were married on Jan. 20, 1952. He was a farmer so they moved their family to the Plainview area around 1962. They enjoyed life here until his passing in September 2007. Ruby enjoyed so many things during her lifetime and she was never afraid to try something new. She mostly worked as a homemaker taking care of her family which brought her great joy. She worked part time at a nursing home taking care of housekeeping. Family members of one of the residents there were so impressed with her work ethic that they asked her to take care of their loved one in their own home. Her daughters remember that she used to help them with homework when they were growing up. Her favorite subject to help with was math. She was an excellent seamstress. Her daughters were involved in square dancing and she made their dresses for them as well as most of their school clothes. They also remember her rolling their hair nightly so that they would look nice for school. She loved to crochet and she finished her final project just three days before her passing. She was a tremendous blessing to her family. Her greatest accomplishment and legacy was that she was a Godly Christian Woman who honored her husband and family. She loved discussing the bible with anyone. Ruby learned to play guitar chords late in life and she used her new talent to honor and praise her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She wrote a praise song and loved singing it with her son-in-law, David. She loved her children so much and took every opportunity to show them. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 55 years, Oscar; one great-grandson, Alex Perez and one brother, Daniel Trevi?o; two nieces and one nephew. Survivors include one son, Oscar Lamb Jr. and wife Rosemary of Plainview; three daughters, Melva Perez and husband Trinidad of Hereford, Lilia Lamb of Plainview and Azeneth "Terry" Everett and husband David of Farwell; two brothers, Lionel Trevi?o and Amado Garcia; two sisters, Emma Alanis and Oralia Martinez; 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Online condolences may be made at www.lemonsfunerals.com.
