Nunez, Reynaldo

Our beloved Dad, Reynaldo Nunez, 79, went to be with the Lord and is reunited with his lovely wife on Wednesday, May 18, 2016. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 21, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Monsignor Arsenio Redulla officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Friday, May 20, at the funeral home. Reynaldo was born July 26, 1936, in Anahuac, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Anastacio and Petra Garcia Nunez. He married Guadalupe Saldana on March 17, 1956, in Juarez, Mexico. She died Nov. 21, 2002. He is survived by two sons, Carlos and Beatrice Nunez of Henderson, Texas and Reynaldo Jr. and Kim Nunez of Gainesville, Texas; four daughters, Gabriela Nunez of Plainview, Estela and Jose Ramirez of Plainview, Leticia and John Galvan of Hillsboro, Texas, and Mina Nunez of Plainview; one brother, Hector Nunez of Burlington, Colo.; two sisters, Alicia Nunez of Las Vegas, Nev., and Josefina Velasquez of Hobbs, N.M.; 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. He is preceded in death by his wife, six brothers, two sisters and one great-grandchild.
