Pomykal, Daniel Howard

Daniel Howard Pomykal, 60, of Plainview passed away Thursday, May 5, 2016, in Plainview. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 9, 2016, in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Pomykal was born on May 20, 1955, in Hale Center, Texas, to John and Mildred Pomykal. He married Sheila Higgs on March 16, 1996, in Plainview. Mr. Pomykal served in the U.S. Navy. He was a truck driver and a member of Northside Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister. He is survived by his wife, Sheila Pomykal of Plainview; three sons, Daniel Pomykal and wife Leah of McGregor, Texas, Brad Pomykal of McGregor, Texas, and Chris Herd and wife Jessica of Abilene, Texas; one sister, Mattie Voyles of Plainview; one brother, Charles Pomykal of Plainview; and six grandchildren, D.J. Pomykal, Camereon Pomykal, Kainen Herd, Adison Herd, Braden Herd and Morgan Herd. Memorials may be made to Northside Baptist Church Breaking Bread Ministry or American Cancer Society .
