Russell, Roosevelt (Eek)

Funeral services for Roosevelt ?Eek? Russell, 84, will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Wood-Dunning Colonial Chapel with Edward Walters of Fort Worth officiating.

Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home.

Mr. Russell died at 7:04 p.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2003, in Covenant Hospital.

He was born Jan. 6, 1919, in Red River County. He moved to the Plainview area and farmed.

In 1936, he married Lucille MacCarty in Red River County. She died Feb. 26, 1990.

Survivors include four daughters, Etta Mac Wooley and Dorothy Neal Russell. Both of Fort Worth. Sandra Owens of Plainview and Brenda Tillmon of Lubbock; eight sons, Rogers Lee Russell of Olton, Simon Russell and Gilmer Russell, both of Oklahoma City, Okla., Roosevelt Russell Jr., Landrea Russell and Russell K. Russell, all of Lubbock. Bobby Russell of Plainview and Jimmy Russell of Fort Worth; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

A sister, Rosie Mae Sims, died in 1992.
