Hugh Bain Funeral services for Hugh Bain, of Plainview, Texas, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 4, 2016, at First Baptist Church in Plainview with Dr. Tim Marrow officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Cemetery under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. He died Friday, April 1, 2016, at Hale Center Health and Rehabilitation. He was born June 6, 1935, in Plainview, Texas, to George Bain and Irene Ritchey Bain, who were also born and raised in Plainview. He married Peggy Williams on June 12, 1954, in Plainview, Texas. He was a farmer/rancher and later was a truck driver for 30 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church. Survivors Include: wife, Peggy of Plainview, Texas; one son, Mackie Bain with wife Stacy of Plainview; two daughters, Carla Daniels of Cedar Park, Texas, and Susan Moffitt with husband Lynn of Lampasas, Texas; four grandchildren, Shane Moffitt, Ty Bain, Taylor Bain and Zachary Daniels. He was preceded in death by his parents, both brothers, Ray and William Bain, and grandson Jimmy Moffitt. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 3, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bartley Funeral Home.
