Interment will follow in Plainview Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Byron was born Oct. 23, 1952, to Spurgeon and Oneida Hutto is Slaton, Texas. He was raised in Dimmitt and graduated from Dimmitt High School in 1970. After graduating from Texas A&M University with a bachelor's degree in Ag Economics, Byron moved to Lubbock where he owned a feed store called Ag Feed Bag. While attending South Plains Church of Christ in Lubbock he met the love of his life, Patti. They were married on Nov. 14, 1980, and moved to Plainview in 1988 to manage and eventually own Reagan's Floor Covering. Byron's love for the Lord was first in his life. This love led him to teach Bible class, knock doors and lead Bible studies. For more than 10 years he served as an elder, working diligently to do the Lord's work with a servant's heart. Family was something Byron treasured. The love he showed his wife, children and grandchildren created a bond that cannot be severed. Byron touched countless hearts in his lifetime. Byron is preceded in death by his parents, Spurgeon and Oneida Hutto, and one daughter, Rebekah Hutto. He is survived by his wife, Patti Hutto of Plainview; two daughters, Sarah Hutto of Plainview and Kathryn Nash and husband Daniel of San Antonio; one son, Benjamin Hutto and wife Staci of San Antonio; three brothers, Aaron Hutto of Hereford, Rodney Hutto of Dimmitt and Keith Hutto of Houston; one sister, Karen Ballinger and husband Lawrence of Lubbock; seven grandchildren, Sydnee Hutto, Jaxsyn Hutto, Natalie Hutto, Avree Hutto, Kinsley Hutto, Hemingway Nash and Rowynn Nash.
