Holland, Carlton Lee

Carlton Lee Holland, 84, passed away March 14, 2016, in Lubbock, Texas. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 19, 2016, at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Pastor David Pool officiating and Judge Don Windle assisting. Interment will follow at Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A visitation will be held on Friday, March 18, 2016, from 6-8 p.m. at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel. Carlton was born Oct. 4, 1931, in Corsicana, Texas, to Aubie and Evelyn Holland. He married Emma Jane Applewhite on Feb. 5, 1951, in Hale Center, Texas. They lived in Hale Center where they owned and operated H&N Electronics. They moved to Plainview in 1963 and renamed the business to Associated Communications, Inc. and were the first to offer mobile communication services in Plainview. He is survived by his wife, Emma Jane Holland of Lubbock, Texas; one daughter, Tammy Rimmer and husband Bert of Gainesville, Texas; two sons, Reggie Holland and wife Becky of Abilene, Texas, and Ric Holland and wife Donna of Atlanta, Georgia; one brother, Tommy Holland and wife Rita of Tres Ritos, New Mexico; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
