Dixson, Melton Vinson (Buddy)

Melton "Buddy" Vinson Dixson, 87, of Amarillo, died Friday, March 18, 2016. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, March 24, 2016, at the Seth Ward Baptist Church in Plainview. Melton "Buddy" Vinson Dixson was born on July 20, 1928, in Kaufman County, Texas, to Zelma and Marion Dixson. He had been a farmer. He is survived by his wife Yvonne Dixson, of the home; and children, Belinda Dixson of Oklahoma City, Kelley Pettit of Plainview, Texas, and Jerry Dixson of Childress, Texas; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Alzheimer's Panhandle Chapter, 1400 Wallace Blvd., Amarillo, TX 79106.
