Ballesteros, Juan,Sr., Mrs. (Maria A. Gamboa)

Maria A. Ballesteros, 62, of Plainview passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 14, 2016, at St. Alice Catholic Church with Monsignor Arsenio Redulla officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A memorial visitation will be held at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at Kornerstone Funeral Directors. Maria was born on Nov. 8, 1953, in Laredo, Texas, to Isdel and Maria Gamboa. She married Juan Ballesteros Sr. on April 23, 1973, in Laredo, Texas. Survivors include her husband, Juan Ballesteros Sr. of Plainview; one daughter, Michelle Verdine and husband David of Plainview; four sons, Juan Ballesteros Jr. and wife Michelle of Amarillo, Jerry Ballesteros and wife Kristilee of Plainview, David Ballesteros of Plainview and Johnny Ballesteros and wife Lucy of Laredo; her mother, Maria Gamboa of Plainview; three brothers, Isdel Gamboa Jr. of Danville, Virginia, Jerry Gamboa of Dumas and Ramiro Gamboa of Dallas; six sisters, Isabel Guiterrez of Dumas, Sara Valencia of Plainview, Rosa Rodriguez of Italy, Sandra Hernandez of Plainview, Adriana Garcia of Garden City, Kansas, and Magdalena Flores of Corpus Christi; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild on the way. She was preceded in death by her father; two children, Miguel Ballesteros and Anette Ballesteros; one brother, Homer Barrientos; and one sister, Jacinta Ballesteros.
