Obituary

FRIONA ? Helen Louise McWhorter, 86, of Friona, formerly of Plainview, died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2015.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Sixth St. Church of Christ in Friona with Jeff Procter and Ken Sinclair officiating. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. in IOOF Cemetery in Plainview. Arrangements are by Blackwell-Mullins Funeral Home of Friona.

Mrs. McWhorter was born Dec. 16, 1928, in Hale County to Harry William and Myrtle James Sandefur Sinclair. She married Joe Robert McWhorter on Feb. 24, 1950, in Plainview.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Lenda Trussell of Muleshoe and Glenda Procter of Friona; a brother, Ken Sinclair of Abilene; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Prairie Acres Nursing Home, 201 E. 15th St., Friona, TX 79035.
