Turner, J.C., Mrs. (Jeffie Lee Parsons)

Jeffie Lee Parsons Turner, 94 passed away on Feb. 1, 2016. Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Feb. 8, 2016 at Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Jeffie Lee Parsons was born on July 13, 1922 in Roscoe, Texas to Fred E. Parsons & Francis L. Ramage Parsons. She graduated from Plainview High School in 1940 and married J.C. Turner that same year. Her son, Jerry Turner was born in 1941 and daughter, Joyce Turner in 1942. Jeffie went on to become an LVN. She enjoyed her work, sewing, time with J.C., raising her children and spending time with her five grandchildren. Turner worked with Dr. Williams and Dr. Branch for several years. Jeffie was preceded in death by her parents and husband, as well as her brother Thrane Parsons and six sisters: Lilia May Parsons Moore, Daisy Parsons Louthan, Nell Parsons Dafren, Winnie Louise Parsons Corgill Gonce, Francis Arnold Tschigi and Johnie B. Arnold Warren. She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter Janna Walker and her daughter Joyce Walker. She is survived by her son: Jerry Turner and wife Darlene Turner of Sequim, Wa. Her granddaughter, Cherie Turner and wife Laura Garnette and great grandchildren Ethan and Bailey Turner-Garnette of Santa Cruz, Calif.; Her grandson Jeffrey Turner and wife Sarah Turner and great-grandchildren Free and Delia Turner of Bainbridge Island, Wa.; Her son-in-law Lewis Walker of Kress, Texas; Grandson Judson Walker and wife Mary Walker and great grandchildren Tizzy Walker and James Walker of Claytonville, Texas; and her granddaughter Lynett Walker of Tulia, Texas.
