Obituary
Castillo, Genaro Trejo
Mass of Christian Burial for Genaro Trejo Castillo of Plainview will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 8, 2016, at Our Lady of Guadalupe with burial following in the Plainview Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited at 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 7, in Lemons Memorial Chapel. Genaro Trejo Castillo was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Iracheta Trejo in 1971. He is survived by his only daughter Nuria Trejo Gonzales and her husband, Joe of Plainview; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Mr. Trejo expired on Friday, Feb. 5, 2016, at 10:35 a.m. Genaro worked as a farmhand in the surrounding communities. Upon retirement, he loved to collect his "treasures" or junk to others. He had a bicycle with baskets in the back to carry his treasures and his favorite drink, Budweiser. He rode his bike daily until the age of 90. As a young couple, Mr. and Mrs. Trejo enjoyed getting together with other families. Genaro enjoyed playing the guitar and accordion, so music was always a part of their lives. In addition, he loved to sing and enjoy life. His favorite hymn was "Un dia a la vez." He will be missed by all, but knowing in our hearts that he is in a better place. Our hearts will have a hollow place because as a dad, grandfather, and even as a father-in-law, his love and presence will be truly missed. Pallbearers will be Eric Alcala, Ricky Alcala, Johnny Rodriquez, Jr., Enrico Zambrano, Jonah Rodriquez and Joe Gonzales. To leave online condolences, please visit, lemonsfunerals.com.
