Stair, Robert Doyle

Robert Doyle Stair was born on Sept. 10, 1937, to Mamie Lee and J. E. Stair in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. His family moved to Plainview, Texas, in 1941. He graduated from Plainview High School in 1954, and began farming in 1955. He married Dortha June Lacey in 1957. He served in the National Guard from 1956 to 1962. Robert accepted Jesus as his Savior and was baptized in 1969. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Plainview, Texas. Robert left his earthly home to enter his heavenly home on Dec. 8, 2015. Robert is survived by a daughter, Robbie Campbell and her husband, Danny, and their two daughters, Rachel and Rebekah. He is survived by a son, Russell Stair, and his wife, Evelyn, and their daughter, Sarah. He is also survived by one brother, Charles Stair and his wife, Ann. A private graveside service will be held for family members. His body will be laid to rest in Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Area Community Hospice, Inc., 3109 Olton Road, Plainview, TX 79072.
