Reyes, Bernardino,Sr., Mrs. (Tomasa Ramos)

Tomasa R. Reyes, 89, of Plainview passed away on Monday, Dec. 28, 2015, in Plainview. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 1, 2016, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Arsenio Redulla officiating. Interment will follow in Cotton Center Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Rosary will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Mrs. Reyes was born on March 7, 1926, in Brownsville to Pantaleon and Concepcion Ramos. She married Bernardino Reyes Sr. on Sept. 19, 1943, in Mercedes, Texas. Mrs. Reyes was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she served as a Guadalupana and a Cursillista. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernardino Reyes; one daughter, Romanita Reyes; one son, Jose Angel Reyes; five brothers; one grandson, Ben Reyes III and a son-in-law, Johnny Gomez. She is survived by four daughters, Mary Gomez and husband Sabino of Plainview, Yolanda Hernandez of Arlington, Jovita Morales and husband Edward of Everman and Senida Rosales and husband Victor of Fort Worth; three sons, Nino Reyes Jr. and wife Maria of Plainview, Epifanio Reyes Sr. of Plainview and Ramiro Reyes Sr. of Plainview; one sister, Mario Ramos of Houston; 25 grandchildren, 69 great-grandchildren and 22 great-great-grandchildren.
