Keller, Bruce, Mrs. (Helen Gathright)

Helen Keller, 79, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2015. She was born Dec. 24, 1935, in Morton, Texas, to James Oliver "Ollie" and Sallie (Starr) Gathright. She graduated from Morton High School in 1954, and was married to Bruce Keller June 19, 1954. Always the devoted wife and mother, she also invested her life in her spiritual family. She was a faithful church member, most recently at The Mount Church in Keller, Texas, but her commitment to Jesus Christ went much farther than simply attending worship services. She was a mentor to a number of young ladies throughout her lifetime. Her love and nurture are most noted in those who will carry on her legacy: a daughter, Susan Moore and husband Jeff of Roanoke, Texas; three sons, Murlyn Keller and wife Janie of Plainview, Todd Keller and wife Darla of College Station, and Lee Keller and wife Amy of Colleyville; grandchildren Amanda Moore, Audra Jones, Brady Keller, Jerica Husbands, Grant Keller, Heath Keller, Bristol Keller, Paige Keller, Brook'lynn Keller, Seth Keller, Ashlynn Keller, Zachary Keller and Jillian Keller; 10 great-grandchildren; and brothers James Gathright and Lyndon Gathright. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Bruce Keller, her parents, and a brother, Murvin Gathright. Family Visitation: Thursday, Dec. 3, 6-8 p.m. at Lucas Funeral Home. Celebration of Life: Friday, Dec. 4, 10 a.m. at The Mount Church in Keller, Texas. Burial: Saturday, Dec. 5, 11 a.m. at Plainview Cemetery.
