Gutierrez, Ruben, Mrs. (Connie Lee Russell)

Connie Lee Gutierrez, 61, of Seminole, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 20, 2015, in Seminole. Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2015, at Seth Ward Baptist Church in Plainview with the Rev. Jim Ritter officiating. Connie was born on Dec. 2, 1954, in Pueblo, Colorado, to George Dale Russell and Billye Jean Gill Russell. She graduated from Plainview High School. She married Ruben Gutierrez on Sept. 18, 2004, in Plainview. She was an optician and had worked for 36 years for Dr. Webb in Plainview. She loved her dogs and all animals, dancing and singing, watching sunsets, loved her flowers and garden, but most of all loved her family and grandchildren. She was a member of Seth Ward Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Ruben Gutierrez of Seminole; one son, Ruben Beasley and wife Mandy of Amarillo, three stepsons, Chris Gutierrez and wife Andrea of Odessa, Matt Gutierrez of Odessa, and Joey Gutierrez and wife Erika of Amarillo; one stepdaughter, Stephanie Hernandez of Odessa; two brothers, Scott Russell and wife Lillian of San Angelo and Kelly Russell of Tow; three grandchildren, Tyler, Tanner and Madi; 18 step-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild.
