Cate, Kenneth W.

Kenneth W. Cate, 49, of Plainview passed away on Friday, Nov. 27, 2015, in Plainview. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2015, at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Rev. Kim Bellows officiating. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Mr. Cate was born on April 19, 1966, in Lubbock to Charles and Kay Cate. He grew up in Plainview and graduated Plainview High School. He married Tonya Scott on July 1, 1985, in Plainview. Mr. Cate was employed by Western Ag. He was preceded in death by his mother, Kay Cate and grandparents, George and Millie Cate and Kenneth and Bernice Haynes. He is survived by his wife Tonya of Plainview; one daughter, Kecha Dawn Cate of Plainview; three sons, Christopher Lee Cate of Plainview, William Shawn Cate of Destin, Florida, and Adrian Carrasco of Plainview; his father, Charles Cate of Plainview; one brother, Charles Gregory Cate of Lubbock; two sisters, Shonda Radke and husband Michael of Wichita, Kansas, and Tina Collins and husband Eric of Elma, Washington; two grandchildren, Ayvah Victoria Waters and Brodie James Hart.
