Funeral services for Alisia Baltierra Zapata, 58, formerly of Plainview, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Harvest Christian Fellowship with Brad Snellgrove officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Lemons Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mrs. Zapata died Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2011, in Plano. She was born June 25, 1953, in Plainview to Genaro and Mercedes Baltierra Zapata. She was a member of Harvest Christian Fellowship. Survivors include her children, Christy Medina of Garland, Veronica Zapata and Santos "Baby" Valadez IV, both of Plano, Christian Valadez and his wife, Emily, of Plain?view, and Nicole Lee "Cody" Valadez and Moses Valadez, both of Dallas; siblings, Janie Fuentes, Violanda Trevino, Jenaro Zapata Jr., Robert Zapata, Sibia Dominguez, Petra Cavazos, Merlinda Castillo, Gracie Vera, Melissa Ramos and Sandra Zapata; and 10 grandchildren. Her parents, and one nephew, Abram Trevino Jr., are deceased. The family suggests memorial donations to the American Cancer Society , 3411 73rd St., Lubbock, TX 79423.
