Obituary

Funeral services for Guadalupe P. Zamora, 77, will be at 10 a.m. Monday in New Life Assembly of God with the Rev. Steve Martinez, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Bartley-Silva Funeral Home. Prayer service will be at 7 p.m. today at in the funeral home chapel. Mrs. Zamora died Friday, April 5, 2002, at her residence. She was under hospice care. She was born Jan. 24, 1925, in Louisville. In 1965, she married Ramon Zamora in Robstown. He died March 17, 1989. She was an active member of New Life Assembly of God. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Jesus "Jessie" M. and Gloria Rivera of Plainview; a daughter and son-in-law, Yolanda and Marcelino Torres of Austin; four brothers, Robert Moralez of Robstown, Nino Moralez of Monroe, La., Juan Moralez of Wolfforth and Nayo Moralez of Banquete; three sisters, Pascula Aleman of Robstown, Catarina Gatica of Lubbock and Mary Inez Carreon of Plainview; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Two sisters, Isabel Martinez and Julia Gonzales, and one brother, Roman Moralez, are deceased. Pallbearers will be George Gatica, Albert Carreon, Rudy Gatica, Juan Moralez Jr., Jimmy Moralez and Rolando Moralez. The family will receive friends today at the prayer service from 7-8 p.m. in the Bartley-Silva Memorial Chapel. The family suggests memorials to New Life Assembly of God, 13th and Galveston, Plainview, TX 79072.
