Young, Mal

Funeral services for Mal Young, 79, of Plainview, are set for 2 p.m. Monday at Lemons Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. A.C. Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Cemetery.

Mr. Young died at 9:10 p.m. Friday, Feb. 12, 1999, at the V.A. Hospital in Amarillo.

He was born Jan. 5, 1920, in Sulphur Springs. He married Sudie Dell Newkirk on Aug. 30, 1958, in Sulphur Springs.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Donna P. Moreno of Plainview; a son James E. Young of Plainview; a brother J.T. Young; one sister, Margie Young; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. A son, Robert Young, preceded him in death.
