Obituary

Graveside services for Eugene Bishop Young, 84, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Plainview Cemetery with Jay Simpson, chaplain of Area Wide Hospice, officiating. Arrangements are by Lemons Funeral Home of Plainview. Mr. Young died Wednesday, March 15, 2006, at Plainview Healthcare Center. He was born July 18, 1921, in Plainview to Jim C. Young and Olla Bishop Young. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He married Bette A. Moseley in Plainview on July 30, 1947. He owned and operated a water well acidizing company. He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Neal and Mary Jane Young of Dallas; two grandchildren; and one sister, Pauline Murphy of Spokane, Wash. His parents and wife are deceased.
