Obituary

Funeral services for Pete Pequeno Ybarra, 61, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Lemons Funeral Home Chapel with Leonel Gonzales officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Lemons Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mr. Ybarra died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2007, at his residence. He was born Jan. 13, 1946, in Slaton to Raul Ybarra Sr. and Felipa Pequeno Ybarra. He married Yolanda Gatain in Plainview. He graduated from Wayland Baptist University with a bachelor of arts degree. He worked as a social worker for the Community Action Program in Abilene and was active in his church. Survivors include his wife; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Eric Lee Ybarra, and Michael and Rebecca Ybarra, all of Plainview; three brothers, Jesse Ybarra, Joe Ybarra and Raul Ybarra Jr., all of Plainview; his parents; and two grandchildren.
