Obituary

Funeral services for Manuel Ruiz Ybarra Sr., 84, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Lemons Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Eliseo Saldana and the Rev. Emilio Perez officiating. An additional service will be held at 6:30 p.m. today in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Lemons Funeral home. Mr. Ybarra died at 7:50 p.m. Monday, July 12, 2004, in Covenant Hospital Lubbock. He was born June 17, 1920, in Allende Couhilla, Mexico. He married Rosa Munoz in September 1939 in Waco. Survivors include his wife; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Eliza and Bob Rodriquez of San Juan, Andrea Rodriguez of Lubbock and Esperanza and Arturo Vaquera and Anita and Julian Soto, all of Plainview; 10 sons and seven daughters-in-law, Samuel and Jackie Ybarra of Duncan, Okla., Ruben Ybarra, Ernesto and Alicia Ybarra, and David and Mary Ybarra, all of Amarillo, Elias and Melissa Rodriquez of Albuquerque, N.M., Ismael Ybarra, Bisente and Delia Ybarra, Manuel and Sylvia Ybarra Jr., Raul Ybarra and Roland Flores, all of Plainview; one brother, Liborio Ybarra of Floydada; two sisters, Erlinda Ybarra of Robstown and Consuelo Villareal of Pampa; 35 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; and 18 great-great-grandchildren. Three brothers, Victor Ybarra, Enrique Ybarra and Jose Ybarra, and one sister, Thomasita Rodriguez, are deceased.
