Obituary

Funeral services for Lynette Yarbrough, 59, will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Garland Street Church of Christ with Weldon Melton, an elder, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Bartley Funeral Home of Plainview. Mrs. Yarbrough died Wednesday, April 26, 2006, in Covenant Medical Center Lakeside of Lubbock. She was born June 19, 1946, in Vernon to Olen and Geneva King. She married Larry Yarbrough on May 31, 1964, in Plainview. He died April 3, 1996. Mrs. Yarbrough lived in Plainview most of her life. She previously worked for Reagan Floors and Interiors, Strothers Flowers & Gifts and Our House Gifts. She was currently working for Broadway Crafts & Antiques and The Plainview Daily Herald. Mrs. Yarbrough was a member of Belles and Beaux Square Dance Club and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She was also active with the First Baptist Church Singles Group. She was a member of Ninth and Columbia Street Church of Christ. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Kelly and Amy Yarbrough of Plainview; three daughters and sons-in-law, Kristi and Danny Richardson of Amarillo, Kayna and Jason Cardy and Karla and Scott Crawford, all of Plainview; her mother, Geneva King of Belton; two sisters, Irene Martin and Linda Watson of Belton; and 11 grandchildren, Morgan Embry, Ethan Embry, Derrick Crawford, Haley Crawford, Kayden Crawford, Hannah Cardy, Hallee Cardy, Amber Mills, Keleigh Yarbrough, Danny Richardson and Joshua Richardson. Her husband; father; a brother, Gary King; and one granddaughter, Mara Taylor Embry, are deceased. Visitation will be from 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.
