Obituary

Funeral services for Louise Yandell, 82, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in 11th and Amarillo Street Church of Christ with J Henderson, minister, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home. Mrs. Yandell died Saturday, Feb. 19, 2005, in Covenant Hospital Plainview. She was born Jan. 30, 1923, in Floyd County, the daughter of Wayne and Una Billington. She attended Allmon schools and graduated from Floydada High School. She married Ross Yandell on Jan. 11, 1941. He died Dec. 7, 1975. After his death, she attended South Plains College and received a degree in business administration. She later worked for Sherwin-William Paint for eight years. She has lived in Plainview for the past 63 years. She was a member of 11th and Amarillo Street Church of Christ. Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and James Butcher and Sharon and Larry Perkins, all of Plainview, and Elaine and Otis Beecher of Surrency, Ga.; a sister, Lola Wilber of Santa Anna, Calif.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Her parents, and a granddaughter, Carman Butcher, also are deceased. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. this evening at the funeral home.
